  7. Handshake-Alliance provides IBM 5250 terminal emulation and fie transfer for
  8. connectivitiy of UNIX systems to IBM midrange systems such as the AS/400 and
  9. System 34/36/38 via twinax

  11. A simple, menu-driven interface allows multiple UNIX users to access the EBM
  12. midrange system, and provides easy-to-use, reliable file transfer. For
  13. unattended file transfers, commands are available for use within shell scripts.
  14. Printer support is also provided, allowing the UNIX system printer to act as an
  15. IBM midrange system printer

  17. Handshake-Alliance includes internal twinax adapter for the UNIX system,
  18. allowing up to 7 sessions on a single twinax. Multiple twinax adapters are
  19. supported, allowing up to 28 sessions
  20.  
  21. Handshake-Allianace uses the Andrew Emulator Transfer Utility (ETU) program on
  22. the IBM midrange system to perform translations between various IBM EBCDIC file
  23. formats and UNIX system ASCII format
  24.  
  25. Handshake-Alliance may be used with other communications products such as
  26. TCP/IP and NFS to offer flexible gateway configurations for LAN and remote
  27. dial-up access to IBM midrange systems.
